ABOUT COMMISSIONER BRIDGET THORNE
BUILDING BRIDGES
Commissioner Bridget Thorne is proud to represent District 1, which includes Johns Creek and parts of Roswell, Alpharetta, and Sandy Springs. Elected in 2022, she brings a fresh, accountable approach to county leadership rooted in transparency, service, and community connection.

Growing up in southern Illinois, my parents instilled the importance of giving back. My mother, a Hispanic bilingual teacher, showed me the power of education to transform lives. Each summer, I worked alongside her mom to support migrant children — experiences that shaped her lifelong commitment to expanding opportunity and uplifting families.
